Where does HomeCristal operate?
Across the Pays de Gex (Ain, 01) and the surrounding area, near Geneva: Saint-Genis-Pouilly, Ferney-Voltaire, Gex, Divonne-les-Bains, Thoiry, Prévessin-Moëns, Ornex, Cessy, Sergy, Crozet, Échenevex, Segny, Chevry, Versonnex, Péron, Collonges, Farges and Saint-Jean-de-Gonville. Travel is free from €39 of service, within 20 km of Saint-Genis-Pouilly; below €39 a €19 flat fee applies, and beyond 20 km, €0.60 per km.
Do you come to my home?
Exclusively at your home, throughout the Pays de Gex. We bring all professional equipment; all you need is access to a 220V socket and a water point.
How much does cleaning a sofa or mattress cost?
Prices are fixed and per item: a dining chair €19, an armchair or office chair €59, a 2 or 3-seat sofa €109, a 4 or 5-seat sofa €149, larger on quote. A single mattress €69 (€39 for one side only), a double €139 (€79 one side). Rugs and carpets: €29 per square metre. Free travel from €39 of service within 20 km.
Do you clean leather, velvet and alcantara textiles?
Yes. Sofas, armchairs and chairs in fabric, velvet, leather or alcantara are deep-cleaned (hot-water extraction); leather is cleaned and conditioned. The covering type is confirmed from photos beforehand.
Is the service available in English?
Yes, HomeCristal is a bilingual French / English service (upholstery and textile cleaning near Geneva).
How do I get a quote?
Book your slot directly online, or send us a WhatsApp message with 2 or 3 photos: you get the exact quote within 24 hours, no commitment.
How long does it take to dry?
Hot-water extraction removes most of the water: allow 3 to 5 hours for a fabric sofa or armchair, 4 to 6 hours for a mattress cleaned on both sides, and up to 8 hours for a long-pile rug. We air the room at the end; avoid sitting on it while it still feels damp. In winter or in a poorly ventilated room, allow a full night. Leather can be used straight away.
How long does the service take?
Allow around 45 minutes for an armchair or a mattress, 1 to 1.5 hours for a 3-seat sofa, and 20 minutes per chair. A cart of two or three items is handled in half a day. The exact duration is confirmed with your quote, after the photos.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card, bank transfer and cash. Swiss francs are accepted in cash at a fixed rate of 1 CHF = €1.
